Licenses
Last updated October 6, 2026
PromptMason's local model is made of two pieces of other people's work, both free to use and share under open licenses. Their notices are here, in the app under Settings, General, About PromptMason, and in the installer's folder.
The model: Qwen3.5 2B
Qwen3.5 2B was made by Qwen and is shared under the Apache License 2.0. PromptMason downloads it as a file converted for running on a computer's processor (by Unsloth, from Qwen's own release). You choose to download it in the app; it is not part of the installer.
The program that runs it: llama.cpp
llama.cpp is shared under the MIT License and comes in the PromptMason installer. It is what makes the model answer on your own computer.
Copyright (c) 2023-2026 The ggml authors. The installer includes llama.cpp's license text in full, and the license of the OpenMP library (from the LLVM project, Apache License 2.0 with LLVM Exceptions) that it runs on.
